Sales Engineer – USA Office
I joined SCHWARZ in 2008 when I was 20 years old. When I originally started here, I joined the four-year advanced apprenticeship. I am now a Sales Engineer for actuator Products.
Once I had completed my 'A' levels in office administration, I was working as a Science Technician. It was then somebody told me about the apprenticeship scheme and I decided to go forward for it. I did have a place at university, but decided to opt for learning on the job skills instead.
Since completing my apprenticeship I worked initially in inside sales, and then I became the Sales Engineer. In June 2012 I moved to Pittsburgh PA to the recent acquisition (Hiller) where I now undertake the same role but with a predominant focus on Fieldbus actuation.
I enjoy working at SCHWARZ because it has such a friendly atmosphere. People are very helpful to each other and I received support all the way through my apprenticeship. SCHWARZ is a pleasant place which offers many opportunities to its employees. Although it is a familly company, it doesn't feel lonely because you are always to find new knowledge to learn. Employees are looked after well.
Since being at SCHWARZ, I have gained an NVQ - Level 3, Performing Engineer Operation (PEO), National Certificate in Maintenance and Operations and an HNC in Mechatronics.
